deadline for registration

The final deadline for registration for the World Congress 2016 in Posnan, Poland, is on 12 April 2016. Please make sure to register, otherwise, you will not be visible in the programme. Panels with too few registered presenters will be reassigned as per IPSA rules.

call for papers for IPSA World Congress 2016

The call for paper proposals for the 2016 World Congress is out. Until October 7, 2015, submissions are accepted. (see https://istanbul2016.ipsa.org/events/congress/istanbul2016/home)

RC42 has six open panels inviting papers:

 We also accept closed panels. Closed for paper submissions to the general public (submissions by invitation only). Pre-organized and complete panel that already has an appointed chair, co-chair, discussant(s) and 4-6 papers. The panel convenor (proposer) will be responsible for sending invitations to the authors (presenters) and accepting all paper abstracts submitted to the panel.

We are looking forward to receiving many high quality proposals. If you have a question, please contact the chair Heike Hermanns

IPSA Conference 2016

The change of name for our Research Committee 42 has finally been approved.
It is now called: Security, Integration and Unification.
 
Although it is still a year away, the announcement regarding the next World Congress In July 2016 in Istanbul has also been made.
Currently, we are looking for broad expressions of interst with a general paper topic, so we can submit panel titles accordingly.
 
Please let me know broad ideas and suggestions by July 1, 2015 (ipsa.rc42@gmail.com). I attach a list with previous panel topics below to give you some ideas. You can submit your detailed proposal until early October 2015.
In addition, if you work on a research project or share interests with another colleagues, why not consider to bring your papers under one panel title? We can open it for further contributions from the wider public.
If you have four presenters together, please contact me about a closed panel.

The Call for Submissions (PDF) for the next IPSA World Congress of 
Political Science, to be held in Istanbul (Turkey) from July 23-28 
2015, is now open!

The theme of the 2016 edition is “Politics in a World of Inequality”.

The website for the 24th World Congress of Political Science is now 
accepting panel proposals (open and closed). Please visit the 
websitehttp://www.ipsa.org/istanbul2016 for complete details on the 
congress and its main themes as well as important deadlines and 
submission guidelines.

*Please note that the Call for Paper submission will open on August 7, 
2015. Currently, paper proposals may be submitted to closed panels 
only, by invitation from the panel convenor.
Panel and Paper Submission

Anyone can submit a panel proposal or an abstract. Participants do not 
need to be a member of IPSA. In order to submit an abstract, however, 
participant must hold an IPSA online account. If you do not currently 
hold an IPSA account, you will be asked to create one before 
submitting your panel or paper proposal.

KPSA World Congress for Korean Politics and Society 2015

Call for Papers

The World Congress for Korean Politics and Society 2015

Dates: August 25 – 27, 2015

Venue: Gyeongju, Republic of Korea

General theme: Bridging the Gap: The Promise of Politics in a Polarized and Fragmented World

RC42 special panels

Two general topics are proposed, but other suggestions are also welcome.

1. 'German unification after 25 years and lessons for Korea'

2. 'Security issues on the Korean peninsula and East Asian Region'

RC42 members: If you consider participating in the conference, please submit your proposal to me first, so I can arrange them in suitable panels and then submit them to the organisers.

graduate panel:

The RC also encourages graduate students to submit a proposal on any topic to give them an opportunity to present their research at an international conference.

Proposals and presentations in Korean or English are welcome!

Accommodation: The Korean Political Science Association (KPSA) will offer up to three nights of accommodation for all participants from abroad in a conference hotel.

Travel Grant: A limited number of travel grants will be available to assist scholars from developing countries. Travel grant recipients will be selected by the KPSA. For more information, please contact the organisers directly.
